During his appearance, Antonio Sanz, counselor of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification, revealed that in the last five years the Junta has trained almost four million people, six times more than in the period 2008-2018. In that period, the previous socialist government trained 600,000 people in digital skills.
Sanz detailed that the Digital Training Plan of Andalusia has had a positive impact, with an execution of 120 million euros of its budget and the realization of 8,875 training actions with the participation of more than 391,000 people. 42.5 million euros were invested in modernizing more than 700 centers of the Puntos Vuela network, converting them into digital training spaces adapted to the needs of the citizens.
The budget of the Digital Agency of Andalusia (ADA) for 2025 reaches 510 million euros, reflecting a 31% increase compared to 2024. Sanz highlighted the commitment of the Andalusian Executive to digital transformation, mentioning that investment in digitization has multiplied by 3.6 in just four budget years.
Within the main items of the 2025 budget, 32.5 million euros are allocated to the Digital Training Plan, 26.9 million for the construction of the Data Processing Center in the PCT Cartuja of Seville, and 13.1 million to strengthen cybersecurity in the region. Additionally, 6.5 million euros are allocated for the emergency technology platform Andalucía 112 and another 6.5 million for the creation of eight digital entrepreneurship nodes.
The counselor pointed out the boost to the public job offer in Information and Communication Technologies, with the creation of 359 new positions in the regional administration in 2023 and 2024. The inauguration of the Andalusia Cybersecurity Center in Málaga in November 2023 was mentioned, with an investment of more than 60 million euros.
Sanz emphasized the importance of the future Digital Andalucía Law (LADI) in the processing, which will establish a unified regulatory framework for digital transformation in the community. The counselor concluded by reaffirming the commitment of the Andalusian Government to digitization to lead technological development in Spain and consolidate a more efficient and accessible administration model.
